Sankalp Special Child Centre was founded by Dr. Jayanthi M and Ms. Mahalakshmi Shanmugam (als) Kavitha providing treatment and therapy with different neurological disorders.
Dr. Jayanthi M, Director
Dr. Jayanthi M, RCI registered Child Psychologist, Consultant and Early Intervention Therapist in Bangalore.
Also a member of IAAP.
She received PhD from Mother Teresa Women’s University, Post-Graduate Diploma in counseling from Annamalai University, certified Hypnotherapist from California Institute of Hypnosis. Also received certificate in Early Intervention and diploma certificate from Rehabilitation Council of India.
Jayanthi M has worked in numerous private hospitals and clinics. She has conducted orientation programmes for schools, workshops for parents in Early Intervention Therapy, presented articles in National and International conferences and published papers in journals. She also conducts training programmes and formulating curriculum for students in Early Intervention Programme and Infant Stimulation Programme for children with Developmental Delay, Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Autism and genetic disorders.
Mrs. Mahalakshmi Shanmugam (Als) Kavitha
Founder – Director Sankalp Special child Centre and Co-funder KK-Sankalp child neurology centre, Bangalore, Phycologist, Special Educator – ASD, Behaviour Analyst, Early Intervention & Infant stimulation, General & Student Counsellor, Practising ABA under Supervision. She did her BCaBA course work from BACB board in 2020 and presently and presently pursuing ABA training from QABA board
16 years practical experience with special needs. Specialized in training Special parents, school teachers, shadow teachers & Interns from different universities in special education and behaviour therapy along with her team of Therapist’s and Doctors. she conducted many awareness programme and Camps in and around Bangalore for young parents, teachers and general public. she now more in to consultations, training and awareness programs.
Dr. Jayanthi and Kavitha started Sankalp in 2018 and KK- Sankalp along with Dr. Kishore Kotha, Paediatric Neurologist in 2023. with all the departments like O.T, Speech Therapy, Special Education, Early Intervention and Infant Stimulation, Behavioural Remedial, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA Therapy) under BACB board certified assistant Behaviour Analysist. Remidal Therapy
(SLD), Group Therapy, School Readiness program, Paediatric Physio Therapy under District Disability Welfare Association, Bangalore, Karnataka. (DDWO).

He has graduated from a prestigious institution in Bengaluru. He pursued his MD – Pediatrics from M R Medical College Gulbarga He has completed his Fellowship in Pediatric Neurology and Epilepsy and further trained in Epilepsy in Cleveland clinic USA.
He has a rich experience of 8 years in Pediatric Neurology and has a passion for teaching and has been academically associated as an Associate Professor, he is well versed in academics and has various publications in national and international peer reviewed journals. He has presented papers at various conferences and chaired many sessions of the conferences.
